Situated a short walk from the Homestead, Corkwood Cottage was originally built for the Station's head stockman and his family.

Corkwood Cottage is fully self-contained with three bedrooms.

A wide shady verandah surrounds the cottage in the true tradition of an Australian bush dwelling, a great spot for breakfast, a morning coffee or sipping a glass of wine in the early evening to catch the magestic, ever changing colours on the distant hills as daylight fades.

Don't be surprised if a kangaroo hops through the garden, or a dingo howls in the distance.

At night you'll be far enough away from extraneous light to fully appreciate the truely remarkable spectacle of the southern night sky. The full moon rising over the MacDonnell ranges is a sight you'll never forget.

Corkwood Cottage has been awarded the Gold Award in the "Most Popular Romantic Weekend Retreat, Northern Territory" category in the "Holidays for Couples" magazine. www.holidaysforcouples.com.au
